Large combustion chamber with grate
The grate holds the wood above the ash so air can flow underneath. Longer pieces fit inside, so you refill less often.
Cast-iron cooking surface
Cast iron distributes and stores heat evenly – ideal for pans and Dutch Ovens.
Double-wall insulated
Heat stays inside the tube instead of escaping. The draft remains stable even in the wind.
Wood and biomass

Why a rocket stove
A tube that focuses heat.
A rocket stove is not a lidded barbecue. Its tubular design creates a strong draft for a hotter, cleaner burn – even in windy conditions.
Lighting
Place dry kindling and a solid firelighter in the combustion chamber. Never use liquid firelighter.
Draft builds
The tube draws air in from below. The chimney effect pulls the heat upwards.
Focus the heat
The tubular shape focuses the heat. Original and PRO also retain it with their double-wall construction.
Cook
The cooking surface heats quickly. Add fuel from the front without removing the pot.
